CORONARY ARTERY DISEASE IN PATIENTS OF PERIPHERAL ARTERIAL DISEASE: AN OBSERVATIONAL STUDY

This study assessed the frequency of coronary artery disease in patients with peripheral arterial undergoing angiography. The was carried out between January 2019 and June 2019, at Department Cardiology, MTI-KTH, Peshawar, on 149 who met operational characteristics PAD as stated were enrolled through outpatient accident emergency departments before being admitted to cardiology ward for additional assessment. informed study's goals advantages, written consent taken. Patients underwent angiography same setting femoral or radial approach electively. mean SDs age 51 ±10.92, whereas duration 4±1.58. BMI 29.4±1.07. 114 (76.51%) found be hypertensive, 35 (23.48%) had normal blood pressure. 133 (89.26%) diabetes, while 17 (10.73%) non-diabetic. 91 (61.07%) smokers, 58 (38.92%) nonsmokers. 80 (53.69%) recorded (CAD). It is concluded that scrutiny must concentrated concomitant likelihood diagnosed severe disease. Moreover, non-invasive coupled invasive investigation also lessen burden this condition regarding morbidity mortality.
